NIAGARA Falls is between New York State and Ontario, Canada. More than 212,200 cubic feet of water fall every second. You can view the falls from the riverbank, but a popular alternative is to ride on Maid of the Mist. This famous boat takes you right up to the base of the falls. Be prepared to get wet-the cool mist from the falls covers the area like a blanket of rain.

Toronto-not only is this a superlative city, it is a city of superlatives.

·        Toronto is the largest city in Canada. It has a city population of 2.3 million.

·        It is the most ethnically diverse city in the world, according to the United Nations. There are more than 80 ethnic groups, speaking 100 languages. It has the largest Italian population in the world outside of Italy, with more than 400,000 Italians or Italian Canadians.

·        It has the world’s longest main street, stretching 1,190 miles.

·        It has the world’s tallest free-standing structure, the CNN Tower, at 1,815 feet. By comparison, the Eiffel Tower is 1,049 feet high.

·        It has the largest university in Canada, The University of Toronto, with more than 50,000 students.

·        It has the country’s largest museum, The Royal Ontario Museum.

·        It has the world’s largest annual fair, the Canadian National Exhibition.
