FROM THE NEW YORK TIMES, Manhattan Bombs Built for Carnage Offer Trove of Clues


  • A bomb that detonated in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan, as well as a second that failed to detonate, were made with pressure cookers, flip phones and Christmas lights designed to create maximum chaos and fatalities.
  • Late Sunday, a law enforcement official said that investigators took five people in for questioning.
